Jambon Buerre (French Ham & Butter Sandwich)

The Jambon Buerre (ham + butter) is a classic sandwich served in France. This version has a couple of my favorite sandwich additions and it was the first thing I made in my 'What I made with 1 Dozen Baguettes’ video.

Ingredients

  • 1 Baguette

  • High-quality deli dam

  • Butter, softened

  • Fresh cracked black pepper

  • Comte, sliced (or cheese of choice)

  • Pickled onions

  • Greens of choice

  • Vinaigrette (optional)

Instructions

  1. Slice the baguette in half and add butter to both sides. Add the fresh cracked black pepper, sliced cheese, pickled onions, and greens before adding a heaping amount of ham over the top. Add the top half of the bread, slice on a diagonal, and enjoy.
